Selection mode: let my client choose the photos

Enabling selection

Select a selection or custom gallery and turn on selection so your client can choose their photos.

Limiting the number of photos

Turn on Limit selection and enter the maximum number of included photos (10 by default). Ideal for “X photos included” packages. Without overage allowed, your client cannot exceed this number: it's exactly what's included in their package.

What if they want more photos? The 2 methods

Choose based on what you ultimately want to achieve:

🅰️ Method 1 — Selection gallery (indicative supplement)

Goal: you handle invoicing the supplement yourself.

Turn on Allow exceeding the limit, then optionally Show the price of extra photos and set the Price per extra photo (5 € by default). Your client then sees their included photos, the unit price of extra photos and an estimated total that updates live. When they confirm, they send you their selection (without paying online).

Important: this amount is indicative. Pelli does not charge the supplement here. You receive the selection and the amount to invoice, then you invoice the client yourself (quote, invoice or payment link) before delivering their photos.

Ideal if: you already work with quotes/invoices, or if you just want to know the supplement without automating payment.

🅱️ Method 2 — Store on the gallery (automatic payment)

Goal: the client pays online and downloads on their own. (Ultra plan)

Turn on selling on the gallery, then use free photos (for example “the first 20 free”) and a price per extra photo. Your client gets their included photos for free, then pays online for the extra photos and downloads automatically after payment. An invoice is generated and attached to their confirmation email.

Remember to disable free downloading on the gallery, otherwise the client gets the photos without going through the store.

Ideal if: you want “they choose more → they pay → they download” with no action on your part.

Sending the selection

When your client is done in selection mode, they send you their favorite selection: you know exactly which photos they chose, and the supplement to invoice, if any.
