Requirements
Adobe Lightroom Classic 8.0 or more recent (2019+)
An active Pelli account on app.pelli.io
An internet connection
macOS or Windows
InstallationDownload the file Pelli-Lightroom-Plugin.zip
Double-click the file .zip to unzip it. You will get a folder named PelliExport.lrplugin.
Tip: Move this folder to a permanent location (for example
Documents/Lightroom Plugins/). If you delete it later, Lightroom will no longer find the plugin.
Open Adobe Lightroom Classic
Go to the menu File → Plug-in Manager…
Click the button Add at the bottom left
Select the folder PelliExport.lrplugin
Click Add Plug-in
In the Plug-in Manager, you should see:
Pelli Export with the status Installed and running
If the status is red or shows an error, check that you have indeed selected the folder
.lrplugin(and not a file inside it).
You can close the Manager. The plugin is ready!
Connecting to your Pelli accountThe first time you use the plugin, you need to connect to your Pelli account.
Select one or more photos in your library
Go to File → Export… (or Ctrl+Shift+E / Cmd+Shift+E)
At the top of the export window, choose Pelli from the list of destinations
In the Pelli Connection section, you will see the status
Not connected
Click the button Connect to Pelli
Your browser opens automatically on the Pelli authorization page
Log in to your Pelli account if you have not already done so
The page asks you to authorize Lightroom Classic to access your account
Click Authorize
Lightroom automatically detects the authorization (no need to copy a code)
A message confirms:
Authentication successful
The status changes to
Connected with your name and email
Your session stays active for 30 days. You will not need to reconnect each time you use it.
Exporting your photos to PelliIn the Library or Develop module of Lightroom, select the photos to export:
A single photo: click on it
Several photos: Ctrl+click (Windows) or Cmd+click (Mac)
A range: click on the first one, then Shift+click on the last one
All photos: Ctrl+A / Cmd+A
Go to File → Export… (or Ctrl+Shift+E / Cmd+Shift+E)
At the top of the window, select Pelli as the export destination.
In the Destination gallery section, open the drop-down menu Gallery
Select the gallery to which you want to send the photos
(Optional) Choose a specific folder within this gallery
Don't see your gallery? Click the button ⟳ to refresh the list. If you do not have a gallery yet, click Create a gallery to create one from your browser, then refresh.
In the File Settings section, configure your preferences:

These settings are Lightroom's, not the plugin's. Choose the quality according to your delivery needs.
Click the button Export at the bottom of the window.
A progress bar appears during the upload. Lightroom notifies you once the export is complete:
Pelli upload successful — All photos have been sent
Upload completed with errors — Some photos could not be sent (the error details are displayed)
In the event of an occasional failure, the plugin automatically retries the upload up to 3 times before reporting the error.
Day-to-day useReopen the export window and select another gallery from the drop-down menu. Your last choice is remembered between sessions.
In the Pelli Connection section of the export window, click Log out. You will need to reconnect to export again.
Download the new version of the plugin
In Lightroom, go to File → Plug-in Manager…
Select Pelli Export from the list
Click Remove to remove the old version
Click Add and select the new folder .lrplugin
Troubleshooting
"You must connect to Pelli before exporting"Your session has expired (after 30 days) or you have not connected yet.
Click Connect to Pelli in the export settings.
"Session expired"Your authentication token has expired.
Reconnect by clicking Connect to Pelli.
"Unable to contact the server"The Pelli server cannot be reached.
Check your internet connection and try again in a few moments.
"You do not have permission to access this gallery"You do not have rights to this gallery.
Check in your Pelli dashboard that you are indeed the owner of the gallery.
"The gallery no longer exists or has been deleted"The selected gallery has been deleted from Pelli.
Click ⟳ to refresh the list and choose another gallery.
The browser does not open during connection
Manually open app.pelli.io/lightroom/auth in your browser and follow the instructions.
The plugin does not appear in the export destinations
Check in File → Plug-in Manager that Pelli Export is indeed installed and running (green indicator).
